Read this first if you have a missed pickup or service complaint

If your collection was missed, your bin needs replacement, you have a service complaint, or you need to book a bulky-item pickup, contact your municipality's customer-service channel — usually 311 in larger Canadian cities, or the city's online service portal in smaller communities. garbage-collection.org/ is an editorial guide, not a service-resolution body. We cannot dispatch trucks. See the routing table at the bottom of this page.

  • A contact email so we can reply (we don’t share your email — see our Privacy Policy)
Don’t send sensitive information

Please don’t include Social Insurance Numbers, full bank-account information, health information, or other sensitive personal data in messages to us. We don’t need it and we can’t act on it. If you’re trying to navigate a specific service issue, your municipality’s 311 line is the right channel, not us.

How We Operate

garbage-collection.org/ is a digital-only publication. We don't have a physical office open to the public, do not accept walk-in visitors, and do not publish a postal address for general correspondence. Email is the way to reach us.

What We Won’t Engage With

  • Abusive, threatening, or harassing messages — these are not acted on and may be reported to authorities
  • Messages targeting specific municipal workers, collection contractors, PRO staff, or community members for harassment
  • Bulk SEO outreach, link-insertion requests, and “guest post” pitches that aren’t relevant to Canadian municipal waste collection
  • Requests to remove factual statements about a municipality, PRO, or provincial agency that are accurate and properly sourced
  • Service complaints — we don’t dispatch trucks; that’s the municipality’s job
  • Producer-side EPR-compliance consulting requests — those need a qualified Canadian environmental lawyer or compliance consultant
  • Generic marketing emails, sales pitches, and unsolicited proposals not specific to our work
