City of Brockville Garbage Schedule Today: Zone-Based Helper
Choose the weekday shown for your address on the official zone map. This helper calculates the next standard 2026 collection date and includes the statutory-holiday changes printed in the City calendar.

Important: Brockville’s Two Official Calendars Use Different Zone Colours
The City garbage and Green Bin map does not use the same colour legend as the Circular Materials recycling calendar. Match the weekday name, not the colour, when moving between the two PDFs.
A green area on the garbage map means Monday, but a green area on the recycling calendar can mean Wednesday or Thursday. Write down the weekday before closing either PDF.

Brockville Garbage Set-Out Rules, Bag Tags and Winter Placement
One regular garbage bag
Each household may set out one normal garbage bag per week without buying an extra-bag tag.
$3 green bag tag
Attach one current green garbage tag to every additional garbage bag.
$10 orange tag
Attach an orange large-item tag to an item the City accepts for curbside large-item collection.

Brockville Green Bin Schedule and Organics Rules
The large City Green Bin is collected weekly on the same day as regular garbage. Remove product packaging and use only the large registered curbside bin—not the small kitchen collector or a substitute container.
Food scraps and food-soiled paper
- Meat, poultry, fish, shellfish and bones.
- Eggs, dairy products and plate scrapings.
- Fruit, vegetables, bread, pasta and grains.
- Coffee grounds, paper filters and tea bags.

Use paper liners or bags carrying BPI or BNQ compostable certification. Oxo-degradable bags are not accepted.
Prevent frozen contents
Line the bottom with newspaper, cardboard or a paper egg carton and layer dry paper between wet food-scrap bags.
Leave the bin at the property
The Green Bin serial number is registered to the address. Leave it behind when moving.
The current City page uses both “six or fewer units” and “five units or fewer” in different places. A resident or manager of a six-unit property should confirm eligibility with Solid Waste at 613-342-8772 ext. 3220.
The City describes the curbside bin as approximately 45 litres or 12 gallons, with capacity up to 40 lb. Missing-bin, new-build or property-registration questions should go to the City Solid Waste Department.

Call before loading your vehicle. The City and the facility operator currently publish different payment information, and private-facility hours or fees can change independently of the municipal calendar.
The City page lists debit, Visa and Mastercard and says cash and American Express are not accepted. The current WM location page says cash and credit or debit cards are accepted. Confirm with the scale house before travelling.

Remove leftovers by 6 p.m.
Anything not taken must be removed from the curb; it does not become free garbage collection.
Call a reuse shop before arriving and donate only during accepted hours. Leaving material outside a closed donation centre can be treated as illegal dumping.
Take only items clearly placed at the curb for the event. Do not enter a lawn, driveway, porch or another private area.
