- Place the bin on your property at the end of the driveway.
- Leave 1 metre clear on all sides.
- Point the wheels toward the home or building.
- Close the lid fully.
- Keep the lid and contents from freezing in winter.
- Set out after the truck passed.
- Car, pole, snowbank, hedge or another bin inside the 1-metre space.
- Wheels facing the road.
- Open or frozen lid.
- Extra black or blue bags beside the bin.

Missed Laval Garbage, Recycling or Organics Pickup
The key timing is the second day after the scheduled collection. Follow the sequence before submitting a request.

Inspect the bin
Check set-out time, lid, 1-metre clearance, wheels, frozen contents and unacceptable material.
Leave it at the curb

Surplus household garbage beside the bin is not collected as bulky waste and is not an ecocentre workaround. Wait for the next black-bin date and remove blue/brown material from the garbage stream.
